Funny how just 2 short years ago we were ALL totally confused w Lesticles (did he have any that game?) against the mighty Tide.... on his decision to sit Lee and play Jefferson the whole game. We all know how that turned out.

So here we are again - except this time it's the Senior vs Freshman QB decision. Not to mention Mett (who I think is one of the toughest competitors EVER in the history of the LSU program) going for #1 all-time on the 1 season passing list.

Sidenote: I understand the importance of legacy so I am glad it's not my decision.

It would be very interesting to take a poll (Rantards only of course)
on the question of the month:
Do you play Mett w chance to set all-time passing record for 1 season or
Do you play Jennings w chance to prove THIS season that he is ready for consistent GREATNESS!??????
Sidenote: Assuming Mett is good to geaux - which he should be in 1 month

Let the comments (and VOTES) begin - assuming the ADMIN Gods are ok w the polling question. My apologies if I did not ask for permissions

My vote: Legacy is good. We are human beings and the way Lee was dissed in BCS title game may have been blessing in disguise for Miles. Rarely do great/kind/caring people make the same mistake twice. All is forgiven (except if you ar JLee - that's his call) if Mett plays and (pre script) plays LIGHTS OUT! Geaux Tigers! I will support LSU to the day I die.

This shouldn't even be a topic of debate. If Mett's healthy, he plays. I can understand if they want to bring in Jennings as a change of pace for certain situations.

Polling whether AJ should start the bowl game over Mett is like polling whether Mauck should start the Sugar Bowl over Davey.

if he's healthy, you play the starter, if not, the backup

Why would Mett not still be the starter? The backup played good. Ok. Great.

If Lee is left in the first Bama game, LSU doesnt play for a championship.

Mett should play if he's 100% healthy.

This thread sucks.

Just curious. Mett gets my vote as well. I was semi-curious how many RANTARDS look to the future and not the present. Question answered. This thread just needs to go away. I 2nd that.

Since, 1/9, EVERYTHING has to do with Lee and Jefferson

If Mett is healthy, he plays. Senior leader, along with everything he has done for the team, earns him the right to play in his final game at LSU.

Jennings time is coming. For now though, Mett has one more game

his decision to sit Lee
Made Lee a martyr instead of sacrificial goat.
There was 2X pressure on 1-9 vs 11-5 and Lee would've been 2X as bad.
I do feel Lee should've played more between the 2 Bama games to keep NS from focusing on a JJ led O, even though it's not likely he would've been very worried about Lee.
It's got nothing to do with ZM and AJ anyway.

There is no way mett should sit for Jennings. And im a huge Jennings fan. This thread is a complete spin and I will not participate in such shenanigans. You should be ashamed.

You are the only RANTARD in this thread... Their situation has absolutely nothing to do with JJ/JL except them being black/white QBs...

Two completely different and unrelated situations.

Personally, I would start Mett and give Jennings plenty of playing time. Perhaps give Mett two series, then AJ two series, then go with who has the hot hand.

Mett has more experience, a better feel for the offense, is an NFL draft pick now.

AJ10 is a true freshman with potential.

It's an easy choice tbh. Mett starts this game 100 times out of 100 unless he is hurt and unable to play. This situation is not remotely close to our QB issues of old. Mett is a good, not average and struggling currently. There is no reason to want the second string QB to start for LSU. Jennings will get his chance to shine next year. It's Mett's team and he should and will start barring an injury.
