Who does this board realistically want taking the last shot?

IMO Gordon's shot was a good look and it's a shame that it didn't go down. But on this team, who's your #1 option?

1.) Holiday - it has to start with the ball in his hands, he's our creator
2.) Anderson -he's automatic first choice for me, don't want him to create just to shoot it
3.) Davis - if Holiday drives and can toss an alley oop or quick dump off for a dunk, again just want him to finish
4.) Eric Gordon spot up jumper
5.) Tyreke or EG kamikaze drive and hope for a foul/put-back /miraculous make
6.) Jason Smith/AD spot up jumper
7.) Holiday pull up jumper
...
142.) Austin Rivers touches the ball

Down by 1 I go with #5. The chance for a foul or put back make it a better option than #4. Gordon hits spot up 3s at 44% so far this season, which isn't bad, but when you're down by 1 the extra point making the shot more efficient doesn't matter. At 44% you're more likely to lose than win if that's your shoot. Now considering it was the 3rd option on the play it's not a bad 3rd option, I guess the question is what's a better percentage, Jrue/Tyreke/Gordon forcing something 3 feet out, or Gordon wide open for 3.

Jrue or Evans driving to the lane dishing out to Gordon or Ryno with AD under the basket to tip in any potential miss.

I like this idea. I also have no problem with a Davis 17-18 footer. The kid has the want. Give him the shot.

i agree that i want davis getting the last touch, but i'd far prefer him to drive and get to the basket and either make a short shot or layup or get fouled than to take a lower percentage shot. AD is clutch at the line.

Option 1: Set up Davis at the elbow

Option 2: Anyone but Gordon

The shot last night wasn't a bad decision. It was the amount of time they ran off the clock before the shot. If your going with a jumper from the perimeter you have to take the shot with more time on the clock so you can have an opportunity for a foul/or put back. We had a great look, just didn't go down.

What i would have liked to happen is a drive to the basket with everyone crashing the boards, or a try and feed AD down low. Being that we were down 1 it would give us a chance to go to the line.

Ryno spotting up, Davis near the rim, or Tyreke driving the lane, in that order.

Scenario sounds familiar.
