Davis has been flexible overall, but there’s a danger in letting the other players on the roster take advantage of that. According to the SportVU player tracking system, Davis is receiving less frontcourt touches per game than guys like Andrea Bargnani and Zaza Pachulia. That can’t happen.

No reason Jason Smith should have more touches than AD in a game.

I wouldn't have been that upset with Smith shooting if he would've dribbled in for a closer shot. On most of his attempts he was wide as open near the top of the key. He could've easily dribbled once or twice to get a closer shot somewhere near the free throw line.

Problem is, the rest of the roster hasn’t completely caught on to that fact yet. Davis has the biggest catch radius in the league with his mobility and arms that go on forever, but you’ll see the Pelicans’ guards ignore him on rolls to the rim, or worse yet, not even put Davis in situations where he can roll to the rim.
THIS IS BY FAR the biggest problem. Not Jason Smith taking wide open jumpers. Its Davis working his arse off on defense and sprinting down court only to have guards ignore him. Then they call him over for a pick, just so they can ignore the roll or pop. We miss, at least, 5 pocket passes to Davis on PnRs, per game.

Our guards wait for Davis to be WIDE OPEN on the roll, which just isn't going to happen often. Sometimes you have to make a quick, accurate pocket pass, like the one Tyreke made to Davis late in the game. If they would trust themselves to make those passes Davis would have a lot more chances at the rim.

Davis should be getting 15 shots per game minimum.

This team does not play like a team. And they dont realize that the only way they win is through davis.

Davis put up 14-11 while being completely ignored by his teammates. His 4th quarter 7 points were critical.

He draws fouls and hits free throws but we dont get him the ball.

Last night was dreadful with this. Towards the end of the game Davis was wide open on at least 4 rolls and once on a fast break and the only time a guard threw to him was when Jrue threw to him when he was actually covered.

Every game Meyers and Wesley say "You had him" or "you missed him" when AD is sprinting down the floor or is standing under the basket.

I just will hate the day when AD no longer runs his arse off because he is never getting rewarded for his hustle.

Last night watching highlights, they said the lob is always there and FINALLY someone passes.
Davis would avg 6-10 points per game more with a pass first guard or players that actually played team ball. I noticed once he gets a good jam he really comes alive defensively with more energy. Monty's job to coach the chuckers.

I hope this lack of touches/shots do not cost AD an all star appearance or an all NBA team spot. That would cost him a few dollars as well.
