SIAP....Why did we change our kickoff formation?

I did not really see any advantage to kicking directly out of the huddle last week.

In case we needed onside kick later in game is my guess to disguise the formation maybe

Because TAMU has a count system and the wind was whipping enough that a touchback was not assured.

A&M probably ran a man blocking scheme for their return. Lining up like that throws off the count for blocking assignments. example player x blocks R1, player y blocks R2 and so forth. it makes finding R1/R2 difficult
