Rivalry week, lines are tricky

First look:

NIU -35 vs. WMU - Betting against Lynch is not prudent.
Ball St. -35 vs. Miami (OH) - Should be covered by half.
Arizona St. -11.5 @ Zona - I know it's a rivalry, but Arizona is fat and happy after the Oregon win. The Sun Devils are legit and cannot be stopped.
FAU -28 vs. FIU - I suppose this is a rivalry, but FIU wouldn't cover this line at home, much less the road.
Ga Tech +3 vs. UGA - No Aaron Murray, no laying points on road team.

I was literally about to make this thread...

Went 6-5 last week, but pretty much broke even on the juice. I think this will be my last week so I can cash out for Christmas money. I don't like many lines this week, except I did jump on Arkansas +26 since LSU can never seem to blow them out no matter how bad they are (2011 being the exception).

I looked at that NIU line, but damn that's a lot of points to lay. And I agree with ASU - I love fading teams the week after a big win. Worked with Colorado last week.

I'm not one to usually tail someone's picks, but the vegasreaper guy on SBR is hitting 80% for the year in CFB. Definitely gonna look at his picks.

That's cool - someone should post his picks here.

I normally don't like talking records because it's kinda lame and egotistical, but I'm just above 65% this year in CFB #sweetbrags. I admit next year will likely be a losing season due to the law of averages.

Pretty sure that's the reason I've been killing it this season. 2011 and 2012 were not good. That said, I've also learned and gotten better at this.

Cold and windy tonight in northern Illinois, but no snow, for whatever that's worth.

Somebody posted them last week, no? I remember I looked at them and thought "what the hell? I'll throw half a unit on about 10 of them that I like." He ended up losing on 7 of the 10 I picked.

I want to have something on the Texas-TT "rivalry" Thanksgiving game. Anybody have an angle? TT has been stinking it up SU and ATS all month. Texas is just bleh, but they have a pretty good offense and I don't see how Tech can stop them. Is the over a play?

At first glance I like:

UNC -5 vs Duke
Tulane +13 @ Rice
Bama -10 @ Auburn
UCLA +3.5 @ USC
Miami -2.5 @ Pitt
Ark +24.5 @ LSU

That's good - I think we can all agree betting CFB is much easier than NFL, especially after a few seasons of experience

Interdasting, that could be a slight concern. NIU is a running team primarily tho. They can really run the rock with Lynch and Stingly- both are big, bruising runners. Last chance to impress the pollsters/Heisman voters as well, and Lynch's senior night.

WMU just wants this season to end, they will be lucky to score.

I'm predicting 55-3.

2 team - 5 pt teaser
1. Toledo -2.5 @ Akron
2. Open

Toledo buries bad teams.

He had the flu last week but he should be 100% for the Egg Bowl Thursday.

The line was OM -3.5 at the LVH. I assume most books will open it today at around OM -3 or so.

ETA: The reason it's off the board is bc Tyler Russell isn't a lock to play yet. State likely starting a 3rd string QB

you have to bet NIU,Fresneck, and UCF

All 3 have to keep winning, and winning big. unless 2 get in, it's 3 teams for 1 spot, and all trying to win by large margins to make up or get lead for last BCS spot.

They lost by 56 @ Iowa earlier... NIU is better than Iowa.

If NIU wasn't playing for the BCS, I'd lay off. They can post whatever they want tonight.
