How is Quinn a 4 star?

Broke the national record.
Plays big boy 5A football in a football rich and competitive state.
Runs a legit and blazing 4.39 forty.
If he is not a 5 star, who is?

He beat Doriel Beckhams record?

We have all asked the same thing. He deserves it as an individual no doubt. But I bet it will be a motivational tool for him when he competes in the All star game and practices leading up to the game. Let's see what the analysts say then.
We know as fans what we have in Quinn.

Bama profiled, but evaluators have white guilt, too.

We all know the answer to this question and we all know it doesn't have anything to do with his ability

Even though he should be a 5 star, this thread literally gets started once a week

But to answer your question, he doesn't have the potential that the others have. He is extremely good at all facets of being a WR, but is he NFL good at any of them? Idk. Speedy can do incredible things with the ball in his hands, he can take a 5 yard route and turn it into 70 yards. Quinn is not as shifty/elusive. Dupre I think is only ranked higher than him because he is a huge guy with really long arms, which really does matter alot for a WR. I actually agree with him not being a 5*. I think people put too much stock into his stats. Ask an NFL scout what WRs they would want out of him, Dupre, Speedy, Lane, and the other 5*, and I very seriously doubt any would name him. Nothing against the kid, he will be a very good WR for us and I look forward to watching him. But you asked, so I answered.

First no one in the nation outside of Adorree is as shifty as Speedy. Secondly when it comes to what NFL scouts want, it's guys who can run great routes and who can catch; something Trey is the best in the nation at both! So your answer is way off.

You're underestimating the value of a receivers hands and route running ability. Two of the biggest factors for potential, college and pro.

Your completely right with your first statement, I was just giving one example. But
quote:thats not true. Your right, those are what Quinn is great at, along with his speed, which all put together makes a very good WR. NFL scouts put size, speed, physicality, and athleticism above all else. And then if you are one of those guys but can't catch or run good routes then you go after those that can.
when it comes to what NFL scouts want, it's guys who can run great routes and who can catch

Yeah, I don't want to talk superlatives with this kid, but denying his ability would be equally stupid...I mean we are talking about him breaking records that have never been eclipsed, in a competitive class in La...No one can tell this kids ceiling...

Who cares. He is coming to LSU and is an absolute stud. Can't wait until he is lighting it up in Saturdays

thats why I hate this thread. Because I love what this guy will be able to do for us in the passing game. I saw someone say Victor Cruz as a comparison, and I thought that was perfect. I'm really excited to see him play, but its hard to answer this question without sounding like a racist or like I think he's a bad WR. My only response to the OP is that he doesn't have that one thing he does exceptionally except the things I would consider least important from an evaluation standpoint. Route running is probably the easiest thing to coach a WR at and hands are the one thing most WR that are that good will have. Why was Tavon Austin drafted so high? was the most elusive player in college football. Why will Mike Evans be drafted in the top 10? He is fricking huge . Love the guys skill set, especially matched with Dupre's and Noil's, I'm just trying to explain my opinion.
