Bear season here starts tomorrow. I'm going to skip opening day of gun season, and go Monday, hopefully less people will be out and about then. Thing is I've never been bear hunting, any tips or suggestions? I was just going to do it like deer hunting, find a nice spot and sit and wait.

These are black bears by the way, from what I have been told most killed are under 100 lbs, so hopefully I won't get eaten.

When I hunted for bear in Pennsylvania we drove em (flushed them out on foot). It wasn't too much different than deer hunting. It's a little scary when you hear what sounds like a freight train running through the woods.

I haven't been able to find anyone that can go this weekend, so I will probably be on my own. Think I could just jump one on my own?
