I like many of you was a little concerned in the first half with the amount of yards given up by our then top 5 defense in yards allowed. But as the game continued, it seemed like the game plan was to play off the recievers, don't let anything behind you and wait for the d line to wreak havoc. It worked beautifully, only allowing 13 points. We were a couple of third down conversions on offense away from 27-31 points.

The defense as a whole looked quite vanilla, preseason esque, was this a result of less game planning time, holding our cards close for the next two games, or is the loss of Greer more significant than I and most of the board expected?

it definitely impacted our personnel. Vaccaro was CB on nickel packages covering the slot WR. Pretty sure thats new.

Not sure how it affects blitz packages and coverages.

No Greer, guys banged up from Sunday afternoon game. However the most important thing to take from this game is that our young front seven is beastly.

Good qb play and pass rush is the absolute formula for winning superbowls. We now have both

It's a shame because just think of how damn multiple and strong we could be with Greer, Robinson, and Butler all healthy.

Good lord.

Yep. Although knock on wood I think we're holding up better than most teams this year. I feel like Greer is the only injury that may cause us to scheme a little differently. I REALLY hope we keep Harrelson, dude has been a godsend at olb.
