Looking to get 1/2 cord of firewood for the outdoor pit and not sure what the going price is. Haven't bought wood in years but the supply at my dads house is dry.

These are the prices that I am finding mostly online. They seem high. Anybody got a good supplier of wood in Denham or Baton Rouge?

Stack (25 pieces)--$20
1/4 Cord--$75
1/2 Cord--$150
Full Cord--$300

I thought he was posting in the new Colorado thread earlier? Either way, any leads or even confirming that those prices are high would help.

That would be him

I will see him soon and talk a little smack for not splitting that wood

Icecream

That does sound high to me. We paid $100 for a pretty good load that they said was a cord

Not a bad price if it is seasoned and delivered

I paid $120 for 1/2 chord of oak a few weeks ago in Prairieville area. After I picked up he told me he charges $150 delivered

Would gladly pay $30 to not have to mess with!

I was thinking about paging him. I need to know what a face cord should run me. That's same as a rick, correct?

Last year I paid 100 bucks for a full size pickup truck load of seasoned wood. Is that a 1/2 cord? It's on Greenweel Springs Road in Central.

Eta: coming from Sherwood, take a right on GW springs road and its on the left.

Piggyback: How long does it take for wood to dry out completely? My dad had three oak trees dropped that we are going to split into firewood.
