My god, I had no idea how difficult and expensive it is to stay in Baton Rouge. Nearly every hotel is sold out and it's 200 a night minimum. Any suggestions?

umm aggies travel well

and I agree, the cheapest I've seen is gonzales

Port Allen is still a little high being closer to downtown and LSU

maybe look more towards denham to see prices

lol...

Well, yeah!

I mean, did you think it would be easy and cheap considering we're playing one of the best travel teams out there and it's Wednesday?

It's astonishing how few rooms are available. I stayed at the Belle of Baton Rouge last time I town and that place has really gone down hill. It use to be nice it's now horrible, I would rather stay at a motel 6

Did you try on Sherwood Forest? Off I-12 and slightly ghetto but I bet they have rooms. 6 minute ride to campus without traffic

I have been checking downtown for a couple of weeks and everything has been sold out but checked last night and there was one at the Hilton downtown but they want 370 for Saturday night. That is crazy.

its the biggest home weekend of the year for the tigers its not going to be easy to find hotels.

my suggestion look at hotels in small towns you may have better luck there.

Again, aggies are one of the most well traveled teams in the country. It shouldn't be too shocking. I looked at hotels a month or so ago and they were not just extremely high in price but VERY few places even had rooms available.

I booked mine back in the Spring. I know that doesn't help.

Start in Denham Springs and farther east, or
Gonzales and farther south

procrastinate (verb)
delay or postpone action; put off doing something:

As in, "There will be a gazillion hopped-up Aggie fans in Baton Rouge this weekend and hotel rooms will be scarce, so don't procrastinate."

There is a best western in plaquemine. Fairly new. Only 15-20 min ride to campus. I'm not sure about prices. But just a suggestion.
