Is a Defense worth a waiver claim?

I currently have Ari (vs Ind), so not a good matchup. I'm thinking my number 1 target should be Baltimore (vs NYJ). But I don't think it's worth a waiver claim (currently 5th out of 10). 3 other managers have their Defense on a bye this week, so I have some competition (only 1 is ahead of me in the waiver order).
Backup options if someone claims Bal are:
Ind @ Ari
Cle vs Pit
Ten @ Oak
Mia vs Car
Den @ NE
Det vs TB
NYJ @ Bal
NO @ Atl
Pit @ Cle
GB vs Min

If you're that high up, no. You'll find a playable D without using a waiver claim.

its late in the season now, really no point in saving waiver claims….do whatever it takes to win week in and week out.

That's what I was thinking. And Yahoo projects me to win 131.26 to 111.91 even with Arizona's Defense in my lineup. So the extra help might not be worth a waiver claim, IMO.
More info: I'm second in the division (8-3) and going up against the division leader (10-1). Also, I'm currently sitting at 3rd seed for playoffs - I'm second overall in record, but the 2 division winners get the first 2 seeds. My next closest competition is 6-5, so I have a 2 game lead.

I have tried to claim a defense twice this year, Kansas City and Carolina. Failed both times. Would have been nice to get them. However, I viewed as long term defenses and not one week rentals.

the jets gave me a goose egg last week but they usually come through. baltimore's offense is bad. tennessee may also be an option for you.
