This is awesome news. I know we would have likely been very light at RB next year if Blue didnt get the extra year (only Magee, Boo, and LF), but without Conner, we would be empty at FB. Although Melvin might be a great one, Neighbors is a stud at FB. Just as good as JC IMO.

Like this news a lot. Blue will be another year removed from his knee injury and should look more like the guy we saw early in '12. And Neighbors is a solid fullback — as a previous poster said, nothing spectacular but not heinous gaffes either.

Was that Neighbors or Copeland that fumbled? Or both? I checked the play-by-play, and it says that Copeland fumbled on one drive, and the 'Team' fumbled on the next.

Eh, that was a bad call, it was a designed motion play that got flagged twice that game. But on the play you're talking about, Hill ran it in on the next play. But the penalty was inexcusable, and the fumble was pretty bad.
But back to the OP, 2 veteran guys getting a 5th year is great news. Neighbors will probably start unless Melvin Jones is a freak, and in the event that we lose Hill and Hilliard, Blue/Magee/Fournette isn't a bad rotation.

yeah it should benefit blue to come back another year removed and show his talent. He isn't draft able right now. I'm glad he'll get another shot

The fumble and the dumb penalties including the stupid personal foul last year against bama in tiger stadium was Copeland. Neighbors is a very good fullback and the tigers can use him next year.

I feel better about our RB depth now but I'm not gonna be sold on blue being back until I see it for myself. Hopefully he gets back to 2011 form by next year.
