If we can effectively run on a team, why pass at all?

Their defense has also gotten gashed trying to defend the run.

OMG! is les miles now on this board!Passing opens up the running game a lot faster than trying to establish the run when theres 10 in the box

In the Aggies 2 losses:

Alabama had 37 rushes to 29 passes. 234 yards rushing

Aubrun had 60 rushes to 25 passes. 379 yards rushing.

Run the ball. Control the clock. Keep manziel off the field. Thats how we win

Who says aTm is going to start the game with 10 men in the box? You think they are going to send out their FG block team? That only works in the video games.

And for the record, I am not a Miles fan.

Why try to win a shoot-out with aTm? Run the damn ball... run it down their throats. Play-action passes to keep them honest, but run, run, run. Need to control clock and keep JFF off the field as much as possible.

CLM has been made aware of your concerns and will definitely take them under advisement! Not sure if he discussed with Cam and Mett or not............

Indeed. Because Les is noted for being a "pass first" coach?

look i'm telling you A&M will be playing the run against LSU. If you go back and watch AL. and Auburn the passing is what started the huge holes for the running game. Starting out LSU needs to move the ball thru the air on the first possession to let A&M know that Passing game is working. then start mixing it after that. If we start out with that run it up the middle crap for 2 yards and are in obvious passing on 3rd and 7's then we may be playing catchup because A&M is gonna score points on our defense no doubt about that.

EXACTLY. Getting into a shootout with aTm is where most teams cost themselves the most.

Again, (as I stated before) if you can run, then RUN! Why risk getting your QB hurt our a higher probability of a turnover?

So your solution to that problem is abandon the run 80% of the time?

Sounds legit.

Ball control baby. And two or three turnovers. That's the Les formula. Don't hate.
