Do you guys use treble hooks? If so, what size?
Posted on 11/17/13 at 7:46 am to Janky
I've always used 1/0 Kahle hook.

No treble hooks. Better to lose a trout or two than to spend ten minutes trying to unhook a hardhead.

Used to use them out in the gulf 30 years ago, no one I fish with uses them now. I know some people still do though.

I hate using the trebble hooks. Always use kahle.
Though, when they're small the trebble does seem to hook them better.

I started using treble hooks with live bait this summer. Won't go back.
That being said I fish plastics 99% of the time

I'm in Little Rock, AR. Took a guided trip on the White River in north Arkansas last year and had alot of fun.
I travel back to Shreveport and Baton Rouge a few times a year.

# 10's is what I always use especially for tournaments, #8's with croakers. Non tourney days I use a circle hook less chance of accidentally killing a big fish.
