5 keys that I see...

1. First and foremost, score more points. Of course.
2. Stop the ground game early. (Saints players think the same: LINK)
3. Go up big early in the game and force the 9ers to become one-dimensional.
4. Be balanced - the 9ers have trouble (as most teams) stopping a balanced attack.
5. Take away Kaepernick's first read, and CONTAIN.

In a nutshell: if we're physical with the WRs and force the Niners to beat us with Kaepernick, I don't think they'll have a chance. Containing him and making sure Frank doesn't get going early is the most important thing, IMO.

6. Pierre Thomas doesn't get laid the frick out in the first quarter right before the goaline.

All about the lineman on both sides of the ball.

I knew someone would try to be a smart arse and post that so I just did it myself.

I think 2 and 3 are not musts, but if they happen it will be an absolute beatdown.

hopefully they stick with the ground game.

it won't work like last week obviously but I hope they keep chipping away.

also, block Ahmad Brooks.

that guy killed us last year.

He was tearing shite up against the Panthers last week, he had 3 QB sacks. Most of them came on 2nd down and really forced Carolina into 3rd and long situations.

Sadly, field goal kicking may be huge in this one. It'll be challenging to move in the redzone vs. SF.

Hartley better get his mind right.

block their front 7 should be first and foremost
2ndly is protect the ball

we saw how quickly a game can get out of hand vs NYJ

a few turnovers by us which are turned into points, only makes us play catch-up & very 1 dimensional. That is when they pin their ears back and come back at us more.

My top 3:

1. Protect Drew. If we can pick up blitzes with effective RB blocking and schemes to take advantage of their aggressiveness we'll be ok.

2. Stay Balanced. We cannot give up the running game in the first half no matter what.

3. Force Kap to win it. He'll crumble if we get pressure.

Take out Vernon Davis like we did Dez with bracket coverage and no free releases from the line and f@ck their timing up.

Don't be negative in the TO battle.

Ahh yes, yes... How could I miss the turnovers. We definitely can't lose that battle. We gotta get our hats on their big guys too.. I know OLB's are just as dangerous as DE's in a 3-4, but I feel like taking their big men out, especially Justin Smith, will be huge. Can't let those guys beat us.
