I Would Be Lost Without My DVR

I got a DVR in February. My first DVR.
Honestly, with a kid now, I haven't the slightest clue how I'd stay current with TV without it. It was hard enough before my daughter was born. On average this fall so far, I watch maybe one show per week at its actual air time.
Its truly a device that I can't remember how I did without.

I got my first DVR in 2003.
I never really watched TV before that, I was a movie guy. Now it's the exact opposite.

I never watch anything at actual air time. Don't like commercial breaks and my 3 yr old is running around the house until at least 9 so i wouldn't be able to pay attention to a show anyway.
I've transition from DVR to watching everything on iPad now though.

And sometimes if a show is starting at 9, if both of our kids are asleep, we'll just watch a half hour show we have on the DVR then switch over to the show that is airing, all to skip commercials. Takes about 20 to watch the taped show, then we can skip the commercials and still be done watching the live show at 10 when it goes off.
