Which makes incognito even more racist for not holding Bowes weed for him.

ESPN report has two unidentified non-players in the car with him, so, ummm, DUH - you think he might say the weed wasn't his?

if true, honestly, if it was in a backpack in the back seat, there's a good chance he could get the charges dropped. the NFL's substance abuse policy could still give him trouble regardless, however, given this would be his second offense.

This far and no "Les Miles has lost control of Bowe" comment? I'm kind of disappointed, but also impressed

Its early yet

Damn. I was looking forward to seeing him play against the Broncos Sunday night. At this point in his career, he is such a skilled, savvy receiver.

The NFL's drug testing must be the worst. One thing you say about ex-Tigers, nothing comes between them and their weed... Not National Championships, not combines, not perfect records... Weed must be a top priority over life advancement.

posts like this have always been hilarious to me, yet they are so abundant with LSU fans. It's as if people think LSU is the only school to have a problem with players smoking weed or getting into trouble. It actually has happened at LSU or to former players at a lower rate than most programs. I guess I'm an idiot, though, for wasting my time posting because it's not like any of the blowhards will ever realize that this is a problem across the board with any school and will continue to be. Maybe it's just easier for some people to take their frustrations out by blaming Les Miles and/or the LSU football program and not just the fact that some people, regardless of where they went to school, make stupid life decisions.

It is absolutely mind-boggling why college and NFL players can't leave that stuff alone. Do they not have the mental capacity to weigh the possible consequences?

More mind-boggling that it's still illegal, but I get your point...I don't understand why he was driving around with anything more than a couple of Js or why not just have some entourage lackey carry it in a separate car.

Why is weed illegal and not alcohol? Why is weed illegal and not cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco? Why have they recently fully legalized absinthe, but only a few states "legalized" weed?

I've never heard of one person dying as the direct result of smoking too much weed. But drinking, all the time, cigarettes, you betcha. With prescription drugs, you have to wait in line to die. This world's prioties are so messed up that they'll run you in for this little shite, but can't find a rapist or murderer. Cold cases miles long, but they can book ya for a fatty. I can understand law is law, but why hasn't this shite been changed in the 90+ years it's been around (law for making weed illegal weed)?

Christians, same reason alcohol was illegal during prohibition. once people realize the profitability of weed, it will be legal as well. but it will take longer in the Bible belt than elsewhere.

Wrong.

This is his 1st offense against the substance abuse policy. He got in trouble in 09 for a performance enhancer, a completely different offense in the NFL rule book.

He will not be suspended by the NFL per John Clayton on espn

What does his age have to do with it? Older people can drink and toke and it has no bearing on age or maturity level.

Good to hear.

The Chiefs have been a fun team to watch this year, and they play the Broncos twice in the next three weeks.

they don't sentence people to prison time for possession of weed under an ounce. that is one of the biggest myths i see all the time

Yes they do. Not all that often and not usually first offense, but yes people go to prison for weed poss.

quote:

he may have been arrested and bonded out

Yes, so he was taken to jail. And some poor folk sit in jail for months bc they lack the money for bond.

quote:

he's not going to be sentenced with anything more than a fine, random drug screenings, and probation, which is plenty appropriate

Why is all this appropriate? Why should an adult have a conviction and all these requirements? What would be appropriate would be for the government to mind its own business.
