Where Garcia's tacos just shut down. Saw it flash on the sign while driving home yesterday. I never think about going to the ones in BR but it's been good every time I've been. Still think it's a bad location.

The shopping center in between Walmart and Gonzales Tire... Where Rocco's used to be

Glad to see this but, that location sucks. one way in and out, parking is terrible and you have to risk getting rammed by the walmart crowd.

I think that's what I ordered every time I went

It will fail being in the location, should of gotten where Charlie Browns was

Seems like Dempsey's lima/red beans & rice has made them a major player in the local food scene..... That, and the low cut blouses & tight jeans that LL wears.

nice, that and tommys will give 2 solid po boy to go options for the area.
gumbo at dempsy is also lights out, hopefully they can survive there. I never went to the roccos or garcia place though.
ETA: Meant tommys not roccos, had it on the mind after reading the OP

They serve a good local product. They will make it.
Rocco's served a shitty product. And that's why many of their restaurants have closed.

I hope so. I know they'll get my business. I just wish it was a better location.

Finally. They'll be balls to the wall for a while.

edited my post, meant tommys but typed roccos for some reason

Will it last longer than Rocco's?

nice. I like Dempsey's. I wish they had one near LSU, though. There's lots of places around P-Ville to get a decent po'boy, not many places around the South Gates of LSU that do one anywhere near as good as Dempsey's.
