2012 Alabama #1, Fla State #2

Don't know why some people make coaching such a big deal.

All that shows me is Les has actually won with less. FSU has always out recruited LSU and loses to nc state. Yeah i want jimbo back. LOL.

Not at all shocking. 2013 is the year of the 2011 and 2012 recruiting classes. Shouldn't surprise anyone that the #1 and #2 teams in recruiting both years are #1 and #2 in the rankings this year.

LSU's recruiting has been overrated. It hasn't been awful, but it's a significant step below Alabama and even FSU. Since 2010 they've been:
-2010 - 6th
-2011 - 6th
-2012 - 18th
-2013 - 6th
Again, not bad, but nowhere near what Alabama and FSU have been doing.

Because players just show up to Bama and FSU? Saban and Jimbo have no effect on recruiting.
Recruiting classes alone do not get it done. Mainly because rankings kinda suck.
