Yeah, I'm switching gears to next season.
If he sucks, let rivers get snaps.

You don't quit on Mett if he is able to play. We're not gonna beat A&M with Jennings under center.

This could give the season some new life IMO.....exciting win over aTm, Jennings comes in and balls....could be a fun twist to a thus far an emotionally flat season

i didn't find this season to be emotionally flat. there was plenty of emotion, the spikes were generally downward though lol

we need to switch gears at this point

no we don't. we continue with Mett as the starter (provided he's healthy).

flawed thinking, a cotton bowl is the same as a gator when the big picture is a national title. we need aj to get snaps to get ready for next year. we dont have to bench mett for good but at least go to a two qb system. also our young guys should play more now. Its silly to not get ready for the future.

also with him hurt it makes it easier

I didn't believe Mett should have played against Furman because he already appeared injured against Ole Miss. IMO, he's simply been gutting it out.

No. Benching a Sr. QB because youve decided to pack in this season and prep for the next is not going to help recruiting.

Mettenberger has done everything asked of him, and you bastards want to abandon him cause the defense blows and you dont give a shite anymore.

If Mett is hurt, then by all means Jennings can do his thing. But if he is healthy enough to go, he goes. End of story.

mett got hurt against uf. UF took a late dirty shot at his knee and he hasn't been the same since that play in the UF game. I agree we should have rested him vs furman but we probably played him due to the bad game vs ole miss

thats why we dont bench him, he is hurt so we hold him out as a precaution. even if he wasn't hurt it should shift to a two qb system instead of benching mett. We need a balance between helping mett get drafted and helping our future. Once the goal of a nc/sec title is gone its time to work on the future and go to a two qb system.

It's a good thing we didn't get Jennings any game experience running the full offense this year.

After all, he got some good snaps in the spring game and practice is exactly like playing against another team.

Damnit Lee I thought we were finally gonna agree on something.

AJ is the future but I want to see Mett finish out his LSU career strong. Watching him refuse to lay down on the field made me proud to be an LSU fan.

Sadly, I'm afraid that this is the attitude of a lot of today's college players.
