Can someone please help me with this reasoning of barely playing incoming freshmen to the point where you basically wasted one year on them. I understand the promises that may be made to incoming freshmen about playing time vs redshirting them so they can get bigger and stronger.

Is it just that we are so weak at the dline position that we needed bodies there? Is this just the state of college football now a days?

RSs are useless in this day and age unless the guy just isn't at all physically ready to even sniff the field
