Mostly the usual chain restaurants. Really looking for something unique to Baton Rouge area.

Tigerpaw gave you two good ones above. Gino's is one of my favorites.
Beausoleil is one many folks enjoy as well.

Most of the suggestions given would be good. If you like Italian and haven't been to Gino's, it's quite good. Check the website for the menu.

Amongst those mentioned already Maison La Couer is the one that stands a bit above the others with menu and ambiance that would be desired for an anniversary event.

Masion Lacour is french cooking, and a great little cozy place, my only complaint is the tables are very close to each other and you can hear every bodies conversation, and them yours

Latils Landing is awesome high end Cajun creole new Orleans style cooking, the grounds are fantastic and worth walking around, keep an eye on the weather last I saw it looks like there was a pretty good chance of rain Saturday which would take out the grounds tour, but the restaurant would still be great...also keep in mind that this is a bye week for LSU, so there will be a wedding or 2 at Houma's house

J Alexander's should be mentioned as well

The grounds of the Houmas House plantation really make it idea for such an occasion...

One of these is not like the others.

Ruffino's does a pretty good job with all the food groups he suggested, generally good service, and is pretty romantic. Tell them it's a special event and you want to sit by the fireplace when you make your reservation. Thank me on Sunday.

ETA: QUIT going to the chains! Please! We have so many locally owned places putting out a superior product, many of them mentioned already in this thread. Spend your money on those folks, not the monolithic chains, at least occasionally, K?
