nobody else wants him. it's his style.

remember bum Phillips said once of don shula - "he can take his'n and beat your'n, and he can beat you'n with his'n. this is a description of the anti-miles.

miles has some great attributes, but actual coaching skills are not included. He can keep a program going with recruiting and hires, and motivation (sometimes) but game-planning and game-day coaching, he's just not there and never will be.

you're right....this offseason he and his agent will float a rumor about some team to bilk LSU out of more money for his 4 or 5 loss super season.

what a guy!

you'd be very very wrong about this.

miles is a decent coach. If Saban wasn't at Bama, we would not be bitching about anything (FACT).

is NS a better coach than Miles? Yes

is there a better option than Miles? I think record-wise, NO. However, I do think that other coaches could have equal results, players better prepared, on the whole, still lose games but without the blunders that we've endured of this staff.

It's like many on this board say: it's not the losses. It's the manner in which many of the losses occur (2013 bama game aside)

I would say this. Look at the people under him and what they have done. Then look at Saban and other great coaches under them. The Parcells, Belichick linage and now the Saban linage. What has the guys under miles ever gone on to do?

I call BS on these. The Arkansas thing was never a real offer; it was simply a ruse by Miles and his agent to milk Alleva and LSU for more moolah. As far as the supposed Michigan incursions go, there has never been as much substantiation about these as everyone likes to think (and again, the second one may have been a shakedown of Alleva by Miles and his agent).

That was back when Miles was edgy. I think all of his "Mad Hatter" style is dried up.

Yes there should. There would be a long list tied at #1.
