I'm sorry to burst your bubble but Miles didn't lose this game. Granted our OL played bad the 2nd half and our fullback forgot how to pick up blocks and hold on to the ball.

But the reality is that this game was lost last year when 11 underclassmen went to the league. It's really as simple as that. We don't have the depth or talent that Alabama does.... right now. But that's about to change in a few months.

We certainly had the talent to beat them. We lost the game when we fumbled the ball going into the endzone, snapped the ball when our QB wasn't looking, and gave up a fake punt.

Don't know what anyone has said on here because this place is miserable as frick so I haven't bothered visiting since last week, but anyone who blames this loss on Miles is a fricking moron. Then again, this site is composed of about 90% morons so....

I agree. but, the coach will always get the blame.

he will always get the praise too when he wins a game even though he wasn't on the field.

Nor UGA
Nor Ole Miss...

Who's job is it to recruit the talent?

I pray you're right. If we don't lock down the state this year, it could be the end for Miles. This is the wrong year to have a down season.

agreed! This was really close for a while.

I was a bit disappointed, though, to see basically both sides of the ball fold only b/c bama had a successful fake punt

I'd say 4

Fumbles, fake punt, and Robinson penalty that wiped out a 3 and out

On Miles. Players quitting is on the HC.

On Miles. Hill should have been carrying the ball.

On Miles. Evaluating talent & recruiting is on the HC.

But your right this wasn't on Les.

Agreed. The game was much closer than people want to admit.

That opening touchdown would have changed things so much...

Bama sends just as many players to the NFL, yet they never seem to get decimated by early departures - look at McCarron and Mosley this year, both of whom could have gone pro last year. Why is this? I'm serious - could someone please explain why NFL quality players seem to stay longer at other schools, yet jump ship from LSU at the first inkling of a pro career.

The second fumble is on Mettenberger. This guy is amazing in that he gets to the line with 15 seconds on the play clock and changes the play 5 times before the snap. He looks like he is performing some type of tribal dance with all his foot stompming and flapping of his arms.

Bama may get a taste of this next year- unless anyone thinks it will be easy to replace a QB who is currently 35-2 as a starter....I'm not so sure.

I'm not going to put this one on Miles.

Sometimes you just get beat. No shame in that.

FTR, right now as it stands, I think Auburn is the only team in the country with a real shot at taking Bama. FSU could hang with them for a half, maybe 3 quarters before folding.

There are structural problems with the LSU football program, the signs of which have been shown on numerous occasions. When an organization demonstrates these types of problems on a consistent basis, the root of the problems usually start at the top.
