Knew he was unhappy with Haley, but damn. Who is willing to offer? Only team I would think is the Cardinals because of Arians

I would say the Cardinals would be the most likely team. Wouldn't mind trading him, as long as they can't get a first rounder for him, which I'm not sure if they can.

Yep. The Cardinals are Pittsburgh West. They love Steelers leftovers.

And as a Steelers fan, I would love to see a Big Ben for Patrick Peterson trade. We need to upgrade the secondary with young talent.

Ben has never been able to click with an offensive coach other than Arians. I don't like Haley either, but for what Ben's getting paid, he needs to suck it up and run the offense properly. If he's not professional enough to perform for whatever coach he has, he doesn't need to be in black and gold.

Plus Ben singlehandedly cost us two games in December last year with bonehead plays, when he wasn't even under pressure. Better to get some value for him before the rest of the league figures it out.

I'm a Steelers fan too and it just wouldn't seem right without Ben out there. But at the same time, I agree with trying to get some value out of trading him now before it's too late. Would love to have PP21 as the future of the secondary.

Rams
Cardinals
Raiders
Jaguars
Bills
Bucs

I guarantee you there would be a bunch of teams that would take Ben over their current QB.

What would Big Ben take? Cards probably would offer a 2nd or a 3rd. Doubt he brings in a 1st because well the Cards aren't owned by Al Davis

Except we would be left with Landry Jones or Bruce Gradkowski as the future

Wouldn't mind getting a good pass rusher in a trade and just drafting a rookie QB

Lot of good QB prospects in this year's draft.

The Steelers have problems right now, but QB should't be the main priority.

OLine
LB's
Secondary
TE

are ALL in more need of shoring up than the QB position right now.

The Raiders (supposedly) had a chance to get Big Ben for their first rounder a couple years ago, after the Milledgeville incident. Al turned it down.

The Raiders thought a better use of that pick would be Rolando McClain.

Definitely, but keeping the guys healthy is an issue too. Velasco was a good find at center and DeCastro will be a contributor at guard. Adams sucks as a left tackle but he's a serviceable right tackle. Left tackle is the biggest liability right now.

The other positions need addressing. Ike/Troy/Clark are old and we need their successors. Shamarko Thomas has a lot of upside. Ike could move to safety for a couple of years. That's why I would want PP in black and gold.

TE is more a long term problem. Heath still has some fuel in the tank. The backups are terrible but a backup TE isn't that expensive on the free agent market.

Woodley and Timmons aren't as bad as a lot of people make them out to be. The defense is missing Foote's leadership.
