Pretty cool concept.

Enter Cy Brown and James Palmer, engineers and part-time airplane hobbyists in Louisiana. They’ve built something they call the “Dehogiflier,” an R/C airplane kitted out with a thermal imaging camera. Let’s call it what it is: a homemade drone.

just a matter of time before we get threads like "what to do with drones flying over your property?"

Sounds like a whole lot of trouble for only identifying a few extra pigs in a field that you wouldnt see through a night vision scope ( my next big purchase attached to a gun specifically for pig killin)

if you're a farmer, it's definitely not too much trouble.

i bet they are able to buzz the hogs and get them closer to shoot instead of chasing after them. but a bad pilot, and you will have to go get your plane.

Just curious, what is that gonna run you? I watch channels like Jagerpro on YouTube and it makes me want a thermal scope so bad to slaughter some pork.

One of my buddies up here just got a Jagerpro trap system (Camera, door, receiver for cell service, etc)

Thing is badass. Thermal Imaging is next on his list, he says it will be around 5k

Not sure if I've mentioned it here before, but I have a good hookup there. Can get you a system on the cheap.

Wow, how can they even look themselves in the mirror? People hunt hogs with spears and knives and it becomes a personal issue. These two knuckleheads fly a remote plane over a field and call themselves outdoorsmen.

Where does it say this? They're a hired eradication business.

If you'll check out their youtube channel, Cy actually hunts them barefooted at night in the ricefields with a spear....
