Wtf was that?

Those dogs are some tough little sob's but is the goal just to watch the hog frick them up then separate them before the pig tears them to pieces?

Yeah

I don't know much about hog dogs.

Not sure what I just watched. Is it some type of competition?

Seems like the goal is to push the hog towards the guys on the end??

My boss told me about these breeds of dogs today at lunch. They are jagdterrier's. Hog hunters use them. They have several video's on youtube. They are badass little dogs. Never seen it before today.

I have seen Fiests cross bread with pit bulls used for hog hunting... You want to talk about some aggressive little SOBs... They were mean as hell.

It's some type of bay competition:
Professional Hog Dog Field Trials are exciting modern competitions where Bay Dogs hold a wild hog at bay for 2+ minutes, and are judged on their ability to control the stock without damage, while barking in a pattern that alerts the hunter/stockman that they are “Bayed Up”.

When I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was Jack Russell Terrier. We have one and they are mean little bastards.

It didn't surprise me at all that it was a terrier of some sort.

not for me,
1)That pig wasn't bayed.

2)the hog wsa nothing close to wild

3)bay dogs dont grab the pig they just haze it till you kill it or catch it

4)poor use of plywood

5) no confederate flags or short cutoffs/boots

I thought all these hog dog competitions were outlawed. Nothing like watching a caged animal have dogs released on him. True sport right there.
