LSU SPORTS INFORMATION

For Immediate Release November 6, 2013

LSU-OKLAHOMA TO RESCHEDULE FOOTBALL SERIES

BATON ROUGE – LSU and Oklahoma will re-schedule their previously announced home-and-home series, the schools announced on Wednesday.

LSU and Oklahoma were scheduled to play in Norman in 2018 followed by a game in Tiger Stadium in 2019 in a deal that was announced in 2005. The two schools are working on dates in later years to re-schedule the home-and-home series between the Tigers and the Sooners.

LSU is currently looking at possible opponents for its 2018 and 2019 non-conference schedule.

Look out, Furman! We're coming for you again!

Naturally, LSU hates giving season ticket holders value.

Somebody go check on Charles Hanagriff. It's Bama week too, this may just push him over the edge

Yea..shite.......Alleva saw a premium opponent coming into Tiger Stadium to play in front of folks who pay to watch them play such titans as New Mexico St., UAB, Kent St. and said no way can we allow this to happen. Seriously Alleva is a complete piece of shite and I wish every single day they would have let his arse go to Tennessee.

Yep, watch the Home and Home with the Boomer Sooners mysteriously turn into one game in Dallas or Houston. Book it.

Bama did the same thing with Mich St. back in September. They stated it was because of "the uncertainty of the conference football schedule in those years."

Looks like the schools know a larger SEC schedule is coming.

This. We are going to 9-game SEC schedules.

OU will end up being neutral site for sure
I'm sure Tulane wants LSU in their new stadium which would be fine but not worth it to LSU to give up revenue in a 30000 seat stadium with tickets controlled by Green Wave - my guess is LSU and Tulane never play again

Still hope rumor about home and home with UCLA comes to fruition and 9 game sec slate is all but a given with new sec network

Clearly, the only reason we have to fill our OOC schedules with the likes of Furman, UAB, and Kent State is because all other real schools are SKEEEERED of us. Clearly.

The SEC is almost certaily going to 9 conference games in the near future and schools want to get a handle on that before being committed to all these non-conference games.

And it's a very good thing, hopefully we get 1 less of the tomato can FBS match ups a year. I can stomach 1 paycheck game a season, but not multiple ones.

It didn't take Oklahoma long to find a replacement.
