When do Pelicans fans start to respect Xavier Henry?

In no way am I saying that we should have kept Xavier or that he is gonna be awesome in the league for years to come. When he was a Hornet I rolled my eyes every time he touched the ball, the guy was just a joke.
But when you look at the preseason (I know its just preseason) and the first 5 games you have to admit he looks better than he EVER did as a Pelican
Game 1: 13 points
Game 2: 22 points
Game 3: 14 points
Game 4: 3 points
Game 5 (tonight): 18 points
His field goal percentage is 43.5 %
I honestly am unsure what I'm watching, is he getting better or is he outplaying his talent?
What does X have to do to get respect from us Pels fans? because I honestly think it will take a lot for me to come around

you good, brah
i really do wish him well. the LA times article mentioned him being injured here, but I don't remember anything really hampering for long periods of time. He just never did well in the system.

Never. Once Kobe comes back he'll see a slew of DNPs.

Reminds me of how Bostjan Nachbar tore it up for a good 2 weeks with the Nets back in the day. We'll be fine.

Boston Snackbar was an absolute beast.
Frankly, Xavier didn't flourish here, to say the least, but he may turn out to be a good player. People here may be a little too down on the guy.

fricking never. He could win 7 NBA finals MVPs and I wouldn't respect him

They've had 4 regular season games genius, not 5.
He's done well, but let him keep it up for longer than the preseason and a few games.
To start last season, people were claiming how amazing Aminu was.
Over his first 6 games he was averaging 13 points per game with games of 17, 15, 14, 14, 10, and 8.
We all saw how he turned out later.

he's in a system that allows him to chuck it, and a team desperate for scoring. Good for him.

I think the real question here is when are these threads going to stop?

He's always been a streaky shooter. He's got the opportunity to put up a lot of shots and right now he's making them. He'll have plenty of 2/11 shooting nights though.

Playing for the Lakers has that effect.

Um why are you including a preseason game?
