Win and he wins back a ton of support... Lose like the 1-9 game and I really believe the fan base will mutiny.

Pull out all the stops and bring the A game les

Let's fire Les Miles and hire a Coach not named Saban that only loses 1 game a year instead.

If we go down big, and he doesn't play Jenkins, then yes.

Unfortunately, I feel like this is exactly what's happening Saturday.

Feel free to downvote this shite if you agree.

1/9 was the Waterloo man. We lost. The tide turned.

I'm not sure he'll win back my support if he beats Alabama. I would be satisfied with a Sugar Bowl W, and only mildly disappointed with a Cotton Bowl W. We're not A&M and we shouldn't judge our season off 1 win

Les has had about 5 Waterloo games since 2007 and he's still here.

I disagree. It pains me to say it but I don't think we'll beat Alabama Saturday. I think they gave a better team this year.

With that said, I'm not ready to get rid of Les Miles.

IMHO, anyone who wasn't 13 years old or older in Curley Hallman's first year at LSU shouldn't even be allowed to discuss terminating a coach over his win/loss record. If you want to fire one for wrecking Harley's with co-eds half your age straddling it (pun intended), fine. But not for losing to a really good Alabama team.

For the folks that "weren't around" at that time, let me tell you how it was in the olden days. Back in the day, we had a coach that was so bad that he made our football team, our fall Saturdays, and a huge part of our lives irrelevant. Think about that for a minute. Irrelevant. Not unsuccessful. Not disappointing. Not even soundly and routinely beaten. Irrelevant. The schedule, who we played, where we played them, and the game time.....none of that mattered.

We no longer cared where stud offensive linemen from west monroe signed. We knew all the good ones were going out of state, because our program was irrelevant.

We never worried if having College Gameday on campus was a good thing or bad thing, because we'd never be in that discussion.

The relative genius of our coordinators? We're they really "all that"? Didn't matter. A great one, or one in that discussion, wouldn't have been there anyway.

Think about your "fandom". Think about how much time LSU football takes of your year, and try and think how you'd replace that time. Old guys know exactly what we'd do, because we had to do it once.

If you're old like me and want CLM fired, then you and I will just disagree. If you weren't around to remember irrelevance though, well.....be glad you weren't if you truly love LSU football.

Miles isn't perfect. But with him, at the beginning of each year, we all think we're going to win an nc. Even though its only happened once, I'm ok with my chances with him if the gamble is being irrelevant again.

I really think it depends on how well LSU plays in this game. Lose, but compete for 4 qtrs and nothing will change. Lose big, and the heat gets cranked. Win, and he gains back a lot of those who are on the fence.

That's because all of these people that are calling themselves lifetime fans were fans of other teams before Saban came. They just assume it's always been like this.
