And to think, this whole place was one gigantic depression away from forming a mob and going after les! It's nice to see my fellow tiger fans pumped up and this is the way it should be! We are only a week away from watching 400yardenberger sling that ball all over the field on the back of Jeremy Hill! We roar in Tuscaloosa!

I do not expect this team to go into BD stadium and upset the King and his band of crimson merry men.
It appears that the Tigers are going to finish second in this one also but, I would certainly welcome a victory...

I am normally positive about the Tigers because I love them and want the best for them. Heck I have even created positive threads in past years because of such negativity on the Rant.

Less emotion, more objective,.. A team is never as good as we think after a win, and never as bad as we think at times after a loss.

With that said, we must try to remain objective about the team and the teams we play. It's #1 Alabama in their backyard... they are playing awesome, we just lost to 2nd string Ole Miss defense. 9 games in a row didn't help us, but still, we lost to Ole Miss...

LSU is going to to have to step up big to have a chance.. right now I see LSU having about the same chance of beating the Tide next week as the U had at beating FSU last night. Looked ok for a while and then it got ugly. Kind of knew the deal before kick off.. We knew Miami wasn't 7-0 and #7 good. They don't have the depth.

Our Defense just isn't ready for the big time yet and is the reason we are essentially a 2 TD underdog in this game.

I love the optimism which we need more of, but I am not going to let myself get all fired up over this game knowing our Defense isn't what it needs to be to win a game like this on the road.

Do not read the BS and look at the numbers.
Alabama Offense No.7 in the SEC
LSU Defense No.4 in the SEC
A No.4 Defense cannot stop a No.7 Offense

The big show should be LSU Offense against Alabama Defense.
LSU No.4 in Offense
Alabama No.2 in Defense
LSU has played the No.1 Defense and Won

Last time Bama played a decent team, they gave up 600+ yards of offense.

Since then, they've padded their stats against one of the nation's softest schedules.

They, as a team, are a product of national hype and have not been tested since.

LSU is healthy, rested, and much more battle-tested than these chumps.

LSU taking down tGumps will only surprise those who know nothing of this series.

Don't kid yourself. Our defense struggled with Furmam in the first half. Bama will score at will. Your setting yourself up for disappointment.

I don't think anybody is expecting the usual 21-17ish slugfest this time.

Points will come aplenty, and this game will prolly be a shootout.

Im afraid our fans are underestimating the opponent. Yes their schedule has been weak, but they are destroying teams now. Two SEC shutouts (Ole Miss and Arky)..the same Ole Miss that we couldnt stop and we couldnt move the ball on vs their 2nd string.

I'll be pulling for the tigers with all Ive got, but I fear the worst in this one.

PS - they have given up only 17 pts total in their last 4 SEC games (Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arky)

Good appraisal. I don't care what the numbers say for this one, Bama is No. 1 for a reason. They find ways to get it done and yes, are crushing the teams they are supposed to crush. My gut says tough road to hoe for my Tigers. I hope they prove me wrong and play with abandon with nothing to lose.

I was at that game. Numerous experiments were conducted. Many players were tried at some of the "weak" spots and after our "struggles" Furman had <200 yds offense and < 50 yds in second half. Some of the experiments were good some not so good. Lamar Louis did not distinguish himself at MLB. Thompson and Martin played well together (I've noticed this before - Martin does not play well with Loston...) Beckwith looked decent at DE. Debo Jones got some looks.

The worst thing that burned LSU in that game was those dam drag routes with a rollout QB. Never burned them on it but they kept getting 4-7 yds in first half.

In summary, don't judge the team by that game.

Idk if lsu wins or not, but every time these two teams play, it's a close game. Even Jarrett lee and the miserable defense of 2008 took them to overtime. It seems ever year we go into this game disappointed with how things have gone so far in the season, and most people give lsu no shot, but every year it's a tight game. I see this one being the same way.

Every LSU fan should get pumped for this game.
Lose it and it'll be last one for 2013 anybody care about it.... There's still a glimmer of hope.

I'm not giving up on them yet.

We entered this game at 7-1 last year and 8-0 the previous year. What are you talking about?

[/quote]the same Ole Miss that we couldnt stop and we couldnt move the ball on vs their 2nd string.

Alabama had 438 yds total offense, and didn't score a TD in that game until the 3rd quarter! Ole Miss got in the red zone at least 4 times against Bama and didn't come away with any points! LSU had 384 yds total offense and scored just as many points as Bama did, even with Mett throwing 3 picks, 2 of them in their territory! We drive the ball that game, we didn't finish drives! If Mett doesn't turn over the ball, say what you want but that outcome would have been different! Alabama is good, but we've beaten them before with a lot less offensive fire power! and their offense has been much better in recent years than this year! If we play like we're capable of playing there is no doubt in my mind that we can beat them!

Don't think so kid. Under 200 yards and Mett gave up a touchdown. Beckham muffed a punt that gave them another FG so the defense only gave up 6 points really.

Mett forcing 3 interceptions against Ole Miss also put this defense on the field a lot more than they should have been and then they were asked to make a stop gassed and dog tired. Mett is the sole reason for the OM loss.

Now rested after a 9 game stretch, healthy, and game planned to focus on crushing Bama's dreams. They've been battle tested facing some of the best offenses holding Auburn to 21 and Ole Miss to 27 despite no help at all in the first half.

This game is going to be good and I will put on record right now that we win by more than 3 points.

I'll be in Tuscaloosa with my butt in the stadium, so I would love for the Tigers to pull out the upset. Just don't think its gonna happen bud.

I am a true Tiger fan, but lets be honest, this years defense couldn't stop my Grandmother.Of course I hope we win, but I think it will be a beat down, Sorry!

While true, the only decent offense Bama has played all year, a team they had all offseason to prepare for, put up monstrous numbers on them.

This Bama team is very beatable, they just were gifted a cupcake schedule, again, and have not done a damn thing impressive all year given their lack of opposition.

Can they handle a punch in the mouth? we'll see

It would be a very pleasant surprise to wake up next Sunday with LSU having beaten Alabama. But, it is always great to wake up on Sunday mornings, or any other morning.
