I deer hunt about a mile from the North end of a lake. The past two weekends I've been seeing a flight or two each morning. I've seen 10 or more already in the last 45 minutes.

Mostly big ducks. A flight or two of teal or jacks, couldn't tell.

Oh, and one big group of specks.

Good to hear. Report from Mowata was flocks of blue wing still in the area, and grey ducks starting to make their way down. Most crawfish ponds are flooded by now, so hopefully that will hold them there for a while.

Been hearing specks all morning and finally had a flock of about 15-20 fly over my stand that I could see.

I haven't herd a sound out of them, the wind isn't right... So not sure what they are.

I've seen two more flights since I started this thread.

Did you kill that buck yesterday evening, or was someone nice enough to let your boy pose with it?

Hwy 15 area east of Mecca is loaded with thousands, plenty of big ducks, too. Our area in Jones is holding a bunch of geese, including plenty of specs. Stacking water now to hold ducks by mid November .
