I know it takes time and I'm not saying that this team won't be good. But will everybody stop saying how young this team is? One guy just said that the team is made up of 20-23 year old guys. Another said we are the youngest team in the league. That just isn't right (we are the 4th youngest). The "core" of the team is 3-4 year vets. You have one really young guy (Davis) and the rest have been around...

Anderson 25 years old- 5th season
Gordon 24 years old- 6th season
Holiday 23 years old- 5th season
Evans 24 years old- 5th season
Aminu 23 years old- 4th season
Smith 27 years old- 6th season
Davis 20 years old- 2nd season
Rivers 21 years old- 2nd season

I can accept they need to get used to the system and they'll get better. But that isn't an inexperienced group and it's not that super young. The strange thing about NO, is they have no old players like almost all the other teams do (no players over 28). But it's not a bunch of rookies and young players that are still adjusting to playing in the league..

still a pretty big deal when you don't have a real vet out there to calm the guys down in the huddle while the other team makes a run. this team's vocal leader can't even legally buy alcohol yet.

i'm not saying it's an excuse, but it's still a big deal. and the difference between the youngest and 3rd youngest (I read we are 3rd, not 4th) is half a year average difference. and that's still over 6 years on average younger than the heat.

the biggest thing is chemistry, which won't happen until tyreke is fully healthy and ryno is back in the lineup.

Of course it will be. This team is going to win a lot of games. But when people say it's too young or not experienced enough, that just rubs me the wrong way. Especially cause it's not true. It's a built in excuse and excuses bad play. I just don't buy that.

The team average is 3.6 years in the NBA, the lowest in the league.

Only 3 guys in the rotation have been in the playoffs, all were role players.

The team has been disappointing on multiple levels and it is a bit troubling. At the same time, every objective person here said or thought THIS team/roster would need time to figure it out because of fit and youth. Lo and behold, this team is having growing pains.

It's not an excuse, just a reality. If they have 20 wins by February, then get the pitchforks and torches.

I knew we would have growing pains but after watching preseason and the pacers game how we came out against the magic is really disheartening.

eta: also I know it's WAY too early to make a judgment on this but i'm feeling like tyreke might have been a bad idea. I know it's a dumb stance to take 2 games into the season and an extreme overreaction but I'm worried about it
