I picked up locker due to byes, well the opponent is starting nate washington and delanie walker to oppose that. Should I get another QB?

Yeah, I'd pick up Roetlisberger or Flacco in this situation. In my league they are only 1 point apart for the year. One is playing NE and one is playing CLE so both should have decent games

This is not a legitimate strategy. You only need to worry about maximizing the potential points on your team.

He's not "cancelling out" your points.

A QB who throws 2 TDs to WRs not on his team is still getting less points than the QB who throws 4 TDs to only guys on his team.

Typically I'd agree.

One thing to consider is how much are passing TDs worth? If they're worth 4 and receiving TDs are worth 6 then he is cancelling out your points. Plus yardage often is more for receivers than QBs. If that's the case then I'd switch not completely because he is "cancelling out" points but also because of the QBs available and their matchups.

I think a better way to view your matchup is by position. Did my QB outperform his guy? Did my WRs outperform his WRs?

If OP thinks Locker will score the most points for him then I think he has to stay Locker.

Most definitely. My contention is that with the other QBs available then I don't know if that's a certainty. It's not like he picked up Romo or Rivers. Locker is no guarantee to put up 20+. But yes, if the OP thinks Locker will put up more than Flacco or Roth then by all means play him.

You start the guy who will get you the most points. Whether or not you play Locker will have no bearing on his game. What if you start Jason Campbell and he sucks it up, but Locker has a big game. Not only does your opponent potentially have a lot of points (assuming Locker tosses to those WRs), but you've missed out on the points Locker would have gotten you. Bottom line is you always start the guy who you believe will maximize your points regardless of what your opponent is doing.

You'll want to light a couple Mexican candles and pray that Locker runs 3 in.

Stick with Locker. I wouldn't worry too much about Washington and Walker. Locker has other guys he spreads it out to.

Washington hasn't scored a TD outside of 1 game. And last week was Walker's first game over 50 yards this season.

This is a strong possibility.

Play Locker if you think he's going to perform well. Washington and Walker are going to score xx points regardless if you play Locker or not.

When I play the owner of Calvin Johnson, I am so glad I have Matthew Stafford.

Washington and Walker have only half of Tennessee's receiving TDs this season. Although Locker threw some of them, he has other weapons.

I'd stick with Locker if were you. If Locker has a bad day, your opponent is going to have a really bad day. If Locker does well, your opponent may do well, but not necessarily.
