The current set up of the DLeague gives you no rights to players you develop unless they're already on your roster and you send them down. It's currently better for developing Front Office talent than On Court talent.

I knew that. Our very own assistant coach Brian Gates was the head coach of the Idaho Stampede who won the D-League Finals a few years ago. It really is a great story for people like that to get promoted to NBA jobs.
Look at the Sioux Falls Skyforce website. When they signed an exclusive deal with Miami, they changed their colors, font, and everything to match the Heat. The NBA will eventually get to 1:1 affiliations.
