Does anyone know what the fee is for not returning a game? I rented one last night for the first time and left it at a friend's house. I'll more than likely get the game back tomorrow but let's say I don't What is their fee?

you just pay the daily rate that you rented it for, every day you keep it

assuming its just like the movies

I think once you go over 21 days, it's yours and you will be charged full retail price.

found this out on accident. got too busy and forgot i rented a game. You pay 2.00 for every day you keep it. After 30 days, 60.00 is charged to your account and congrats you own a game!

If I'm reading this right, they ultimately charge you $120 for the game if you never return it?

I don't think it works like that, my brother has done this twice and he was only charged 60 bucks each time.

That's how it works. I've done it before.

Correct, your brother was charged $60 but was also charged $2 a day for 30 days which leads to another $60. Total you pay $120 for a game that could be had for a cheaper price.

I've heard of people calling Red Box after the 30 days and sending the game back and having the $60 charge wiped from their account.

Thanks for the info!

I'll be sure to get the game back or have him pay me

Nope. Once I paid for the game in rental fees, they just said thanks for your money and let me keep the game. No additional fee or anything.

Guy I work with received a prepaid credit card as a gift for his birthday and rented 2 games with it. 2 games that he paid $2.00 each for. How is this legal? Or has red box just not caught on yet?
