Would you rather work on salary or commission? Or both?

I work on both. Salary obviously more stable but commissions have much more potential. I can live well on my salary but commissions run as much as twice my salary in some years.

I'm a conservative guy...give me a big salary with a small commission.

I work on both. I'm not sure how well I would work without the prospect of commission. It's a great feeling to know you have a direct impact on how much money you make.

If you are just starting out, go with both until you can get a good loyal customer base established.

Just an FYI, once you get on commission, you will always have to watch your back from your 'fellow' employees.
They will be two-faced SOBs. They will talk to you all buddy-buddy but as soon as you turn your back, they are in the middle of your business. Really pisses me off
