wowzers

To be honest, it really seems like all the pressure has been coming up the middle. Not often do the T's absolutely get beat.

Too be fair, i dont think our Tackles are the problem this year.

I dont think anyone has really been saying that.

Had no idea he was No. 1 though

Holy sh!t

before draft after draft camp pre season and every game this year.
I know cause I've been defending the big guy.
He aint all-pro (not yet) but he has been consistently average for us and cheap at RT.

Hmmm. Guess i just havent noticed it. Tackles definitely have not been our problem. Our Guards and DLP have been getting man handled.

We definitely need a replacement for Brown.

He's not a long-term solution at LT.

yeah, I think Bushrod's mediocre arse was atop many of these lists as well.

Strief isn't anything special but he's probably the second to last person on the OLine I'd want replaced. I wonder if the Saints would consider plugging Armstead in at LT considering how much Brown has been getting abused. Probably too radical at this point in the season.

Strief is also playing next to Evans, while injured can still cover his gaps twice as good as Grubbs. If he was playing up to his pay-grade Brown would be doing a lot better. Went back and watched the last two games, Grubbs screws up about 40% of the time. He either outright gets beaten on the block, or he blocks the wrong guy - leaving DLP blocking an empty gap or Brown trying to cover two people. The dude is pretty bad, if we hadn't seen how raw Lelito was earlier this season, I'd say swap him with Grubbs and see what happens. Heck, even knowing that I still might say that.

Damn I miss Doug.

I hope someone is pushing him (DLP) for playing time at practice.

I can dream.

Might not be 'sexy' to most fans but I think they spend the bulk of their money/time upgrading the offensive line this offseason. If this team had a running game like it did in 2009 it would be dominating.

Grubbs has been one of our bigger free agent disappointments, I think. DLP is struggling as well. Both guys got worked often against Buffalo, although the Bills' D-line is pretty good.

I really think the missing link here is Kromer.

Maybe to an extent but these guys just suddenly forget how to block after years of experience?

Strief has been good all year. Brown seems to let some pressures early in the game, but then tightens up. Grubbs and DLP have been huge disappointments this year.

That's what I've been saying too. We were really bad on the offensive line those first five games he was interim interim head coach. When he went back to OLine coach we did much much better.

That being said, the whole line has been bad this year. Brees might not be getting sacked more, but he's getting pressured, having to scramble and having to get rid of the ball quicker this year. And the run blocking is getting a little better, but has been bad all year.
