Since Les has been here, how many times has LSU not been ready to play Bama?

Let me answer that for you, ONE time. That is it ONCE.

2007: LSU had nothing to gain, #2 in the country and still came from behind to win.

2008: Bama was #1 and was the better team, but LSU played it's best game of the year and sent it to overtime.

2009: Bama was #1 or #2 and LSU was ahead in Q4, but lost it late.

2010: Bama was the favorite and Jordan Jefferson, that's right Jordan Jefferson led the Tigers to victory.

2011: Looking back on it, Bama was the better team, but the LSU team went in there and gutted it out.

BCS 2012: the ONE time LSU was not ready to play against Bama and it was bad.

2012: LSU facing #1 Bama again and was the better team for 58 minutes, but fell short.

My point, until proven otherwise, I think this team will show up with a chip on their shoulders and play their asses off. This will be the most physically talented team Bama has played since A&M. LSU will be motivated with something to prove to it's fans and the rest of the country. I am not saying LSU will win, I am saying that the team will come to play their asses off and as long as it is a game going into the 4th quarter, I will not complain one bit.

I didn't mention the pre Saban era, but his teams were ready in both 2005 and 2006 as well.

At least that one time was for an unimportant game that did not mean anything.

the 1st game they played meant a shot (and eventual winning) at the SEC championship.

The 1st game meant nothing either?

Teams first goal is to win a Conference championship. They accomplished that goal.

Ask other teams that's lost the game.

you all don't understand human psychology that well. if LSU had lost the first game in overtime, the result of the BCS would have been very different.

Bama was, in my opinion, the better team that year, and LSU may have lost them both, but the BCS would have been much more competitive.

come on, let's be fair

LSU looked completely lethargic during that game. It was weird. That was not a team ready to play for the NC.

I still think something happened before or during that game. Something. It is the only way I can rationalize that game.

Most teams score or at least cross the 50

I always wonder about this. Something had to have happened. But the longer it goes, and the less gossip I hear, I feel like it was just a case of a coaching staff and team just going through the motions.

Agreed. but people here act like shite like that doesn't happen.

It happens. Move the frick along. It's done. Over. I don't understand the point of hanging on to it for so long.

I agree and I'm a "sunshine pumper" according to this board, but just because it might happen elsewhere, it doesn't mean some criticism is not justified

Why? I couldn't say that any of them didn't come to play. Many were over-matched, sure. But not whatever you would like to call the funk LSU was in that day.

I agree.

No shame in losing to a better team.

Ok to be upset when you do not play to full potential. The way it all went down was shameful ... but, nothing anyone can do about it now.

We don't win this game without the play of Jarret Lee.......
