Watching the scene where Ethan Hawk goes into the Mexican gangsters house and almost gets killed and the guy that plays Tuco Salamanca is one of the guys. The only thing is, he plays the characters the EXACT same. Same insane delivery, meatheaded intensity.

What range from that actor

Considering Breaking Bad did 5 years of nothing but angry Latino bad guys (thanks Honest Trailers) it was pretty obvious they went to the well.

The thing is - he's 40 in Training day and pushing 50 in BB. He's convincing as a character 8 to 15 years younger, respectively.

Batshit crazy/Meth use has an age? Only have done one breaking bad run through did they mention Tuco's age?

No, but the the character still plays as early to mid 30s, still full of piss and vinegar - not a CEO gangster at 50.

Maybe I'm the only one that reads Cruz's characterizations in Training Day and Breaking Bad as much younger, chronologically, than the actor playing them.

I just took them as a "controlled" meth head, being from north Alabama or anywhere with a large meth presence you learn the types of meth heads. Breaking Bad actually did a nuanced job of portraying them. Its sick how detailed the show is, how extensive was Gilligan's research? Did he start his own meth empire?

I assumed when everyone saw Breaking Bad, they were like, "It's the dude that got his shite pushed in, big time, in Training Day." How do you forget a line of dialogue like that?
