They had a lane closed yesterday before Lafayette and somehow I made it from Houston in normal time. And this was at 6pm.

Look, we all appreciate the heads up. Most of us will probably leave earlier than normal..but your thread title is extremely deceiving
You should really edit it to "I-10 may have traffic/blockage problems from 7am-6pm"..

Indeed...I left Rayne this morning at 6:30 headed to work in BR (damn disaster recovery test)....I probably made it to the Atchafalaya by 7am or a little after.
I didn't see any signs of any impending closures through Acadia, Lafayette, or St. Martin FWIW.....now it is possible they could come later than he suggested I suppose.
