Raiders claimed DE/OLB Martez Wilson off waivers from the Saints.

Wilson was waived by the Saints on Tuesday. The No. 72 overall pick in the 2011 draft has five career sacks in limited duty through his first 33 career games. It's worth the gamble for the Raiders. Wilson (6-foot-4, 252) can play outside 'backer or defensive end in a 4-3 defense. He'll also contribute on special teams. The Raiders waived DT Christo Bilukidi in a corresponding move.

raiders and pittsburg are the same record. I was not sure how "same-record" counts for the waiver wire (i.e. who would get it since they're both 2-4).

If pittsburg, who has a notoriously good defensive scouting front office, passed up on him than whoever wants can shove it up laundry or whoever's arse because I'm pretty damn sure pittsburg has a smarter FO in regards to defense than most of the league.

Unless you're Matt Flynn. Then you come out smelling like a rose and another team gives you some more money.

And after his football career ends, he'll have a job as Matt Damon's stunt double.

It's Loomis master plan to strengthen the Raiders D before Thanksgiving so they can beat the Cowboys.

im not sure if 4th-5th on the buffalo depth chart with a league minimum type contract for 10 games is "smelling like roses"
