Anyone else see a pattern here? Gotta be patient and things will come together. I know we didn't win in 2011, but that was the best team I have ever seen in an LSU uniform so that was damn impressive by Miles. 2014-15 are shaping up nicely, would be foolish to fire any of these coaches right now. We don't have Saban...and let's face it... No other coach is dominating college football like him and probably never will. I'm pissed about Sat too ...but if we have even half our juniors stay from last year that game isn't even close . Miles has GOT to work on that. Alright, nega tigers flame away

I see it.

3, 7, 11... 15.

If we count by "4", we have all of the answers. :]

It was the best season, but actually not the best team imo. Which makes the incredible run they had all the more impressive.

I still think 03 is the most complete team in all phases of the game I've ever seen in BR. Defense, running, passing, kicking, and coaching.

And even that great team hit a bump in the road against a far less talented team on paper.

It happens. It's a game. The other team has talent and desire too. Oh yeah, and a gameplan designed to stop you. Things don't always go according to plan. Things can unravel.

No amount of talent or coaching can prevent that.

Teams that run the table have to have great talent, coaching, and good fortune.

We have great talent and coaching, the ball will bounce our way again.

Tried to include that with "good fortune" to avoid using the taboo S-word.

But yeah, playing 2 or 3 ranked teams a year, perfectly spaced out throughout the year to avoid 4 and 5 game guantlets certainly helps

Miles SHOULD have at least 1 to 2 more Natl Titles, but floundered them away!

Can't fricking reiterate good fortune enough. The last two Alabama NCs required fortune. If those upsets don't happen, Alabama doesn't go and Saban has as many NCs there as Miles does at LSU.

I know it's an "if"...but it was indeed fortune that brought them to the NC game after the team and coach lost in November.

These arm chair coaches on here are counts. Pure and simple. Since he was hired no program has more wins, west titles or sec titles. That is a fricking fact. He has been here 8 years and has 3 west titles. That almost winning the west every other year.

What? Miles has 1/3 of the titles lsu has win in its entire history but you say he SHOULD have 2 more? He has the second highest win % in sec history, all while the sec is stronger than it's ever been. Get a clue boy

I said in 2008 we would make the 2011 championship. It is certainly possible we will be there 2015. Playoff system won't be kind to Les though as respect may be a factor in who gets picked.
