Of course, JJ denies it. According to this "article" Darren McFadden would be at the top of the list for such a trade.

With the Cowboys cap situation next year, plus after drafting Joseph Randle is this years draft, they aren't going to trade for anyone.

Yeah, if you are scared of an injured back, McFadden would be a great back to go after.

This. McFadden is going to be looking to get paid at the end of the season and Dallas definitely can't be the one to pay him.

The most obvious target would be Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew.

If I'm MJD, I'd have my bags packed and be begging for a trade. Anywhere just not named Jacksonville.

Yeah you didn't read the article, bcs this:
quote:

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggested earlier this morning that the Cowboys could make a move at running back. Rapoport explains that the Cowboys have begun to realize that the injury-prone DeMarco Murray isn’t the long term answer at the position. (Which would mean that the Cowboys have become the last ones to realize that Murray lacks the durability to be a franchise-type tailback.)

does not equal=

UPDATE 10:58 a.m. ET: Ed Werder of ESPN says that two unnamed Cowboys sources haven’t heard that the team is skeptical of Murray, and they have no knowledge of a possible running back trade.

What could they get for Murray in a trade??? he's an average running back with injury problems every year. he's literally got zero value

That's why I found that article intriguing. I'm sure the author was trolling, but you never know what's going on with this team.
