but DEFENSE wins Championships! Sounds cliche but its true (see our last 4 losses). And ask Saban and check history.. Chief may be OK but Tenn said for us to beware and with the athletes we had last year we still let Bama AND Clempson drive it down our throats at the end to beat us! Now we say these new guys arent cutting it. Who recruited them and who is coaching them?

Consistency win championships, and defense can usually be relied on more consistently than offense. Probably because it is less about individual performances, and more of a group effort. An off night of your QB can really derail an offense.

but the run game was working.

I like the fact that we can score quickly and get back into games.
I know that I am not the only one who still thought we could come back and win even being down 17-0 at the half ... and it wasn't because of our power running game.

It's also a LOT easier to bring a really good D on the road than a really good O.

And ask Saban
Great. Another Saban reference. Just what we needed.

Less forcing the I formation would have probably given us a much better chance. The defense wasn't stopping them consistently and the only throws Mett had for
Almost the entire half were out of PA
