I'm 1" low at 100yrds. 3 shot group all touching. I've run out of adjustment. What the hell do I do now?? It's a brand new Swarovski bore sited when installed at Hebert's. First shot at 25 yards was 6" low. Adjusted to bullseye. Went out to 100yrds. About 4" low. Got it to about 1" low at 100yrd then ran out of adjustment. First time this has ever happened to me. Any suggestion?

Remington 7600 I've had for awhile. New scope this year. Same federal BTSP 165gr I've always used.

A know it all at the camp said I need shims. I looked at him like he was stupid but it may work. Just never heard of that before.

You going to have to shim the scope at the back mount. Fold a small piece of aluminum foil. Fold it 3-4 times and place under the base of the mount.

Another way is to take a rubber maul and knock the crap out of the front mount. shite you not, but the first time I saw a gunsmith do that I was like WTF?

What kind of mounts you have? If it is those see thru, did you mount them? And if you did, there is a front mount and a rear mount. Look real close at the bases to see a full contact.

Not trolling. Serious as shite. It's my favorite gun my pops gave to me 20 years ago. Haven't killed a deer with another gun since. It was time to change the bushnel that was also 20 years old.

OK then

You need to either shim your mounts or the better option is to buy mounts that are machined to a size taller than what you have.

Have you made sure the rings are mounted correctly. I bought a rifle from Hebert's before and they didn't mount the rings all the way on the bases. So the scope was way off.

Or you could get a MOA base that has a 20 lift or so. Aluminum foil would be cheaper though.

What kind of scope base are you using?

If its a 1 piece base it could be backwards.

2 piece base, bases could be swapped.

Take the scope and rings off and reinstall them and make sure they are tight
