It is official all we are playing for at this point is what bowl we are going to, the rest of the goals have been flushed down the sh*tter last night.

At this point the coaches need to step up and start planning for next year. Mett thanks for coming to LSU and thanks for your contributions this year. The way you played against UGA we should have won that for you, but the defense screwed the pooch. Unfortunately last night was on you, as bad as the defense did play those 3 ints cost the game. Since our goals for this year can not be met, we now have to start to plan for being successful next year along with finishing up this year.

So if Jennings is our future at QB he needs to start getting some serious playing time. At this point Mett is going to get drafted high "1st or 2nd round" so it is time to let AJ get at least a qtr a game. Getting AJ serious reps this year, at least a qtr a game, will help big-time next year. If Beckwith is part of the future at the Mike then damn it start playing him there it will help us for next year. If Robinson is our future at DB then lets see him on the field the entire game. I mean seriously our defense can't get much worse with them playing and if they are the future of the defense then let's see the future now. If Dural and Brazil are future stars on offense we are going to lose Mett, Copeland, Blue and probably OBJ, Landry, Hill & Collins we do not want to be like we are on defense this year on offense next year get meaningful reps for their replacements please.

Come on coaches it is the right thing to do start preparing for next year by getting the players reps that will be replacing players next year.

my other thread post

1). There is no excuse for last nights poor performance.

2). Stop bitching about it. It hurts recruiting and the program. Not happening anyway but does anyone really trust Alleva to do any better hiring a coach?

3). THE QUESTION all LSU fans should be asking: Is Miles Coaching to keep his job or to win another Championship? The answer will be told in his actions moving forward. He should explain to the fans that we are going to take some lumps with some of these new guys but there is no substitute for game experience.

Louis
Beckwith
Jennings
Diarse

We had a lot of experience leave for the draft. It only stands to reason that a lot of youth will have to play early. AND THAT YOUTH WILL NEED DEPTH, a great truth for recruiting.

All of the above players need to see real game situations in meaningful playing time moving forward and in preparation for next year. Who else needs to see the field???

If this does not happen we will know that Miles is coaching for the paycheck and not to win a championship.

That should be the main complaint for the fans, looking ahead, the coach/s not prepping the players for next year.

Followed by Miles recruiting his own players to stay. Minter would have been personally better off staying IMO and would have helped this D a lot. JMO

and no , I'm not saying abandon this season but i am saying recognize the big picture/goal.......another Championship. GET THE YOUTH READY.

Oh, and the decline comments are orchestrated by other fan bases. Don't buy it and don't repeat it at this point. It only helps their cause.... which is to tear down LSU. PAY attention to all the ALTER posts with low post counts just fanning the flames.

We be on the same page, but unfortunately from what I posted last night and read this morning we are not the majority. Then again most of the posters on this board I have come to realize the closest they have every come to playing on the Gridiron is Madden NFL. So understanding what we have to do to be successful next year is totally beyond their grasp.

So if you can't win it all, the season means nothing? What a depressing mindset.

NO not at all

But we have to get the youth ready BEFORE the season by playing them the previous season.

We made that Mistake with Mett
Lets not make the same mistake

doesn't hurt to continue to try and reiterate it, do I expect the coaches to come on this board and read this thread and go "damn that is a great idea let's implement it." Obviously not, but venting is a good thing it relieves stress and after the game last night which probably took off a year of my life, relieving stress this way is a good thing and will get me in less trouble than beating the wife and dog.

Miles future immediate actions with regards to the youth and their playing time should be the LSU fans main focus.

If he doesn't do it. TAF or whomever needs to apply pressure and make him do it. The future of the program may depend on just that.

You are the one suggesting benching a QB that could go high in the draft after two losses. Basically ruining his draft status. I'm sure future recruits would love that. The best players deserve to play.

Yes it does, because it implies that you're giving them another chance.

It is not time for the coaches to step up and do the right thing. It is time for the coaches to step aside and let someone else have a shot.
