Would the administration prefer the Wisconsin student section

They don't even need a song so what would the LSU administration do if the student section started the F You Eat shite cheer a la Wisconsin.

At least their student section is filled.

I am shocked that we have so many ignorant posters.
News flash: the administration is not necessarily cracking down on random student chants, they are just making it clear that the LSU band, which is an official part of the university, can not be seen as promoting the vulgar chants. Playing a song that creates these chants could be viewed as the LSU administration encouraging such behavior.

all that does is make me mad we aren't playing them at Camp Randal and Tiger Stadium.

That is pure idiocy.
The band does not provoke students into chanting Suck that Tiger Dick, Bitch. The administration treating students like children that they want to completely control is actually adding fuel to the fire. I find it rather peculiar that in the bastion of liberalism that is Academia, where there is every kind of sexuallity class and promotion the administration is offended by these words.
BTW, I spent six of the best years of my life as a member of the Golden Band from Tigerland and in those years, the student section was more vulgar and drunk as hell.

They do when they play Neck, and now All of the Lights. Not that it was the band's intention, but that has been the end result the last couple of years.
When have you ever heard the STTDB chant without a song being played by the band?
The student section may try to start this on their own now, but it definitely won't be "cued up" by the band.

+1
It looks like Alleva wants to do the same type of thing with Penn State. I want home and home for these big games and not the pro stadium experience. I want to see an LSU-Wisconsin game at Camp Randall, not Lambeau.

You've posted this in two threads now. If it bores you, why don't you start a thread breaking down the Ole Miss interior defensive line play and how they will match up against our offensive line. Maybe you can inform us as to Ole Miss' tendencies on 2nd and long, and if Chavis might be able to blitz Bo Wallace in that situation to create a 3rd and long situation. Those threads will probably encourage a ton of in depth discussion.

No, the Administration, LSU Alumni, LSU fans, etc.
would PREFER that 18-22 year old adults ACT LIKE adults, instead of middle school students.
I feel sorry for your employers if and when you graduate.......

So Geaux Tigers, Geaux Tigers, Kick Their arse is encouraged? Or is it long overdue to kill the first down song?
I know this predated my attendance at LSU (late 90s) many many years.

Because college students are fully mature, right?

I'd much rather the Camp Randall vulgarity than what the LSU students are chanting now.

Go frick yourself you boring douche bag. Do you really think people run around the office screaming STTDB? You post the same tired shite in each thread, and it further makes me believe you have never set foot on campus, or how big a loser you must have been if you had. The most likely scenario is you're a giant fricking hypocrite.

"I want home and home for these big games and not the pro stadium experience."
The neutral site trend for good OOC games is distressing, especially to season ticket holders who are asked to pay more and more with so many of the games being akin to NFL preseason. For example, we have only one, arguably two top tier home games this year (A&M and if you stretch things a bit, Florida), one mid-tier (Auburn), 1 lower tier (Arky), and 3 "NFL preseason" level games. One can quibble over how I categorized the games but this is hardly a stellar lineup. Having a legitimate OOC home game at least every other year would go a significant way toward remedying the problem of the less than focused Tiger Stadium crowds we have been seeing.
