It's good to know we have students like yourself. Totally embarrassing about the fight. I just learned about this today!

I truly believe fans don't see a reason to get loud because we are overly confident and spoiled by the success of the team in recent years. We simply assume we will win handily, and when a touchdown comes there's more of a sigh of relief than enthusiasm.

You know what? I noticed this was happening with Alabama fans as far back as 1980. They still had the Bear, they crushed everyone, and when we went to Tuscaloosa to play them, when bama scored a touchdown I learned what a golf clap was. That is the way their fans reacted to them scoring a touchdown. We've become the same way.

If our current generation has such bad students.

Why don't we throw frozen oranges at opposing teams like they did back in the "best fan" days

It is, to me, an absolute travesty that "fans" have hijacked Hey Fightin' Tiger to the point it isn't even played. Thank goodness Archbishop Rummel uses it as their fight song, as Tiger fans and fans of other schools sing the Hey Fightin' Tigers verse.

LSU students threw oranges onto the field two times:
Dec. 5, 1970 LSU 61 Ole Miss 17 and Orange Bowl invite.
November, 1982 LSU 55 FSU 21 and an Orange Bowl invite.
They weren't "frozen" (WTF?), nor were they thrown at the Ole Miss or FSU players, they were thrown into the NEZ after Tiger TDs.

Nice hallucinating lie though.

Oh, and TGBFTL was able to play all the traditional LSU songs dating back to the 1930s, without embarrassment.

student 65-72 (a little army time in there.)
mostly drunk.

why can't we do it like in the movies?

video the student section during games.
match the faces.
ban lawbreakers from games.
expel some from school.

there... problem solved!

you are most welcome.

Yes

whoa, that's a bit extreme. Perhaps punishment by law would be more suitable. (Community service on campus would be a lovely punishment imo)

A troll alter.
No one panders to old people this much unless they are faking it.
And they brought up the fight and everyone saw what went down except him.he's only one to get it wrong.

Yes. That is correct. Everyone was young at some point.
But, never EVER, in the history of the University, Tiger Stadium, and the LSU football program has TGBFTL been forced to stop playing 80-year-old traditionally revered songs and cheers
UNIQUE to LSU.
Nor have nationwide TV audiences and visitors to BR and Death Valley ever been subjected to vulgarity that profoundly crosses the line.

All because a faction of spoiled juvenile children in adult bodies think that chanting "STTDB" and "AH! AH!" and laughing and tittering at each other about it that "OMG that was like, sooooo way cool," and believing that it is not affecting the over century-old reputation of the University, LSU Football, and even themselves - who clearly they don't care about.

Sad.

BTW, I am 46, run marathons, and have dark brown hair, and could probably outphysical and outsmart most of these supposed LSU "students."

The "old" people that most of you imbeciles are referring that are complaining about you are actually middle-aged or younger, and many are your PEERS.

Way to represent Louisiana State University.
You should be so proud.

I don't consider you LSU fans. Not even close.
Why don't you enroll at BRCC or Hinds CC or Delgado.

Or, even Alabama.....
