How/When did STTDB start?

As a student from 08-12' I remember the first time I heard "Neck" in 2008 and thought it was the best song the band played (outside the more historic ones). "Talking out the side of your neck" was the chant and I thought it was awesome.
By my junior/senior year, it had changed to what we know it now and Neck was banned. When did this start? By who? And really why? It was funny at first but watching students now sing it without Neck even playing is just dumb.

stemmed from the south carolina game in the rain years ago.
the oweo chant, they started saying "you suck cock" after the oweo verse. this morphed into doing the chant into neck

Yeah I was at the Carolina game when the "You Suck Cock" thing started. A guy in our section started it and it was clever because its double meaning. But then the student section kept at it the next week in the Dome against Tulane and it continued till that song was banned. Once the "You Suck" chant got banned, the band went to Neck. Not exactly sure how STTDB started but like Jones said, it stemmed from the "You Suck (Cock)" thing. Sucks a bunch of bags had to ruin such fun and awesome things. You Suck and Neck played at the right times were bone chilling experiences!

It started when I yelled it to my future wife in the student section some years ago.
